Is 18 too young for a girl to have a baby?

Question

Yes I am 18 years old. My boyfriend is 20. We have been on and off for about 6 years but have been together steadily for 2 of them. We both have stable jobs. We have a place together and haven’t had any major money problems. But I want a baby I want one bad. Everyone that I know is either strongly for it or strongly against it. 
Any thoughts?

i would wait until the relationship is true. like engagement or marriage. I dont usually have a thought when it comes to having kids before marriage. but in your case, the relationship has been rocky and there is no guarantee it will last.

I had my first at 21.  Honestly wait and enjoy being young.  If you want a baby start a savings account and put 20% of what you earn in it and buy a house for that baby.

Make sure you both understand what you both want in the relationship before having a baby. Now if you both want a baby, do search on pregnancy, labor before trying to convince. Make sure you both are ready  mentally and physically and of course stable enough for a baby. I regret not having a doula/midwife and a birth plan with my daughter. So look into those. Learn as much child development things as possible. You'll have "friends" whom will be exicted but once baby is born they'll be no where or too busy. You'll lose firends, free time, sleep and other things. Having a baby will not ruin your life just makes it harder in areas. You are an adult and can make your own chooses. Make sure you have support from at least your partner and that he wants a baby. If he doesn't then maybe get a pet until you both are ready. Don't rush things or pressure your boyfriend to have a baby. Make a saving account and save money towards having a baby.

Sweetie I think you’re WAY TOO YOUNG!!!!!!! I’m speaking from  experience I myself was a young mom had my 1st at 17 yrs old .. Just me when I say this if you think it will fix or make you guys more complete you couldn’t be more wrong if anything you’re on & off relationship will be more OFF due to the fact you’re going to be tired emotional 😭 MONEY Will definitely get tight that’s just a few things just waiting till you’re older please go find or talk to someone like a young mom you’ll see the harsh truth ......

I came out pregnant when I was 17. I was a baby myself didn’t get to finish high school or live a normal teenage life. I ended up not staying with the father. We were young and dumb and he wasn’t the one for me. Out of it came a beautiful child but when I look back on it now I always say I should’ve waited. Live your life to the fullest first you have your whole life ahead of you to plan and if he’s for you he will always be for you.  You’re only 18 be a teen enjoy yourself there’s always time to make a baby and build a family 😊

it's not about age, but maturity and stability. you might be mature enough, but the moment you say the relationship is on and off, I say no.  babies are a wonderful blessing,  but EXTREMELY  stressful. you will have to think about how racy you are for single motherhood before you make a final decision.
