Taking the pill but bleeding for 18 days so far

I missed two pills in December while I was ill and my period began immediately after, it’s been eighteen days and I’ve been spotting dark blood everyday. I’ve been taking the pills religiously since the bleeding has started, at the same time every day. I’m just getting a little bit frustrated, what should I do? Should I just wait it out?
