Can you breastfeed without needing to pump?

I was just thinking about this today, and I was wondering if any moms out there have breastfed without needing to pump? Is it possible? I honestly have no idea.

From reading a lot of breastfeeding topics on here it may seem like no. But yes, by design, that's how it should work. If you don't assume from day one that you have supply problems (which you shouldn't) and need to start pumping, then you are just nursing on demand. Period. If all goes well you may need to hand express or pump a little bit for relief occasionally when you get too full, but that's it. Generally your body adjusts to your baby's needs.

It’s 100% possible. I pumped so I’d have some breast milk available if I had a babysitter/so dad can feed/etc. but if you’re home with Baby, there is no NEED to pump.

Sometimes you can. Sometimes you fill up so much baby can't eat it all and you have to pump it out or it's soooo painful. Your boobs just swell and feel like they will burst. It's like a relief to get the milk out. I exclusively breastfeed, but pump when necessary.

I exclusively fed my daughter for 15 months—no bottles, pacifiers, or solids. Meaning I didn’t pump. Very possible

I don’t have an oversupply so I don’t have to pump. 
I only ever pump when I want a date night with my husband and need to leave the baby. I hate pumping. So. Much.

It is definitely, once you get your supply and routine established!  Always keep a working pump on hand because there might come a time when baby isn’t wanting to nurse but you need some relief! Lol good luck💕💕
