Puppy Love

I really really want a dog. I’ve always wanted a dog my whole life, but my mom growing up was never home and even though I vowed to do all the walking she never let me. My dad, who had two dogs (they were divorced) - when ever I was visiting they would become MY dogs.

I’ve been with my boyfriend for a year and we got a cat a few months ago but now - I WANT A DOG! He says we’re never home but I wake up at 7 like clock work to be at work at 9 then I’m home on the dot by 7pm - he’s the one that’s always out late. Give me some advice should I just adopt the dog or try and get him on board first.
