CONFUSED AND FRUSTRATED😡

Anon

My husband and I began TTC in September (tracked my cycles for the entire year leading up to then and stopped using condoms/added prenatal vitamins). I was diagnosed with PCOS in October and prescribed a folate pill along with the prenatal. The blood work they did came back within normal range, but towards the higher end. My doctor said it wasn’t necessary at this point to do an internal ultrasound of my ovaries and encouraged us to continue trying for a year before seeking medical intervention. This month we added OPKs and Preseed. Apparently OPKs aren’t reliable for those with PCOS due to elevated LH anyways, but since my levels were within normal range I decided to give them a try. My periods have been regular since August 2016 with my last period being December 20-26. My fertile window was estimated to be the first week of January with ovulation on the 7th. The 7th and 8th I experienced cramping, EWCM, and tender breasts.

OPK Friday the 6th

OPK Saturday the 7th

OPK Sunday the 8th

OPK Monday the 9th

My OPKs stayed negative for the next three days so I quit testing, assuming my LH surge happened overnight after an almost positive test on Sunday.

My period was due to arrive 6 days ago and I’ve taken 4 HPTs since then, all negative. My breasts are tender and my CM has returned to EWCM so I decided to do both a HPT and OPK this morning.

I know this post is long so thank you if you have made it this far, I’m just really frustrated that I cannot figure out my own body and conceive. It’s only been 5 months but at this point I’m not even sure if I’m ovulating. I’m thinking of switching OBs to someone who will look more into my PCOS and TTC journey. Any thoughts as to why I’m getting a positive LH again on CD 40???
