A lot of breast milk?

I have a 2 month old baby girl and she is eating 4oz of breast milk only. Is this a lot of breast milk for her?

If you are worried about overfeeding her, then you can try giving her a little bit less, maybe 3oz, and see how she responds. If she seems satisfied, then maybe she doesn't need all 4oz. If she seems like she wants more, then 4oz is probably what she needs right now. My son never went over 3-4oz per bottle the whole time he was taking bottles at daycare.

If she is eating it and not spitting it up or anything then it may be what she needs right now. As my kids started growing and needing more I remember thinking it seemed like too much, but she most likely is eating what she needs 😊 If she spits it up afterwards I would say it is too much and if she is crying afterwards I would say she may want/need more! Each kid is different, but that was how I could tell what my children needed.

My LO has been doing 3-4oz in a feeding of breastmilk since around 2 months as well. I do paced bottle feeding when we do bottle feed so he rarely wants more than that: once in awhile he’ll drink up to 5oz at a time.
