Make up for my scheduled c section?

I'm having my third c section in a few days and pretty sure I'm gonna do my hair and make up to look pretty and normal in my pictures! Any other mamas feel the same way and have done this?

I’m have a vaginal birth (that is if everything runs smoothly) and I’m planning on wearing a bit of makeup and having my hair done I just feel more comfortable with myself like that and also for photos!

I planned on doing that but after being on magnesium and pitocin for 14 hours and needing an emergency D&C; after (retained placenta) I looked anything but normal! Best of luck to you!!!

Might want to check with the hospital. I never had a c section but they may not like you to wear make up bc it changes the color of skin/lips so if your lips are turning blue and ur wearing lipstick they won’t be able to notice. Or if your turning jaundice during surgery and you have on concealer they may not notice as quickly.

I wanted to but went into labor 5 days before my scheduled c-section. I did take makeup with me though and after my first shower I did my makeup for our newborn photos. I don't think I looked bad in our first pics with no makeup tho!!
