Considering castor oil. Any success stories??

It worked with my son! Hasn’t worked this time though. Watch out, you’re bound to get some negative comments on this. If your doctor says it’s okay to try id give it a go, just make sure you’re near a toilet just Incase you gotta go lol

I would just eat spicy food instead, as spicy as you can handle. Castor oil was a general practice back in the day because it causes your intestines and stomach muscles to be irritated and contract, this would sometimes cause women to have contractions in their uterus too. Well spicy food does the same thing without the risk of harming your baby. Hope that helped!!

I know that you are uncomfortable and ready for your baby to come but methods like castor oil are extremely dangerous to encourage labor. Castor oil is not safe for you or your baby and should not be used. Like others have said, babies have died and to me I just cannot fathom why mothers would even think to do such a thing. If you want to be a mother, start by putting the baby first and wait for natural labor to begin or dr intervention. I really hope you chose a different route. 😕

It worked for me my first pregnancy! 6 hours after I took it (and shit my brains out a couple times) my water broke! Didn’t work my second pregnancy though

my friends OB actually recommended she use castor oil, and it worked for her. but its very controversial and ive heard horror stories
