We have 7 year old dog, and a 2 year old toddler. Our dog has not been a fan of our child since he was born, but has always stayed out of the way. The past year they have started playing together, and loving on each other. Tonight we heard a bark and my son was crying. We know our son will hit our dog, which he always gets in trouble for, but our dog has never done anything to hurt him. He has a small scratch by his eye, and we are not sure if it was a scratch or bite. I love my dog, but I am pregnant scared it could happen again. Has anyone had a similar situation? My husband thinks I’m overreacting.
