Babymoon in NYC?

Question

So we are planning to take a babymoon trip when I am 22 weeks (currently 15 weeks) and are trying to decide where to go. I have never been to New York and have always wanted to go and I figure it won’t be sometning I’ll be able to do for a long time after the baby comes. However, some of my coworkers said it’s a terrible idea because I won’t want to walk around and will be at risk of getting hit by cars. Anyone who has been to New York have any advice?

I highly doubt you’ll be hit by a car, I’ve been multiple times but it is a lot of walking. I walked 20 miles over two days there. But I also never took a cab because it’s faster to walk everywhere

I doubt you’ll get hit by a car but keep in mind it’s very crowded, the weather will not be very nice, and you will done a ton of walking. And oh yea it’s hard to find a restroom. Basically it is not a relaxing trip imo. Source: lifelong nyc resident.

So I live in NY and go into the city once a week. Getting hit by a car is not very likely. Lol. But walking around in a fast pace area might not be something you wanna do. If you do decide to go just enjoy it and rest when you need to. There’s seats and little parks all over. Head to herald square, Times Square and Bryant park. They are beautiful!

Ooh I’m so jealous. I used to live in NYC and miss it often. It’s so much fun to walk around different neighborhoods! And there are so many unique places to stop and take a (tasty!) break. Lower Manhattan neighborhoods have more interesting places and people watching than midtown and UWS/UES, but of course if you want to go to the Met or Central Park, those are totally worth a visit. If you have the time, explore Brooklyn too! The subway system is the best in the US and it makes it super easy to get around. Have fun!!!

agreed, doubt you will get hit. but it is a ton of walking! 
at 22 weeks I was just getting over my morning sickness. but over all I think you could do it.

I went to London around 20 weeks on my baby moon and we walked a TON. You’ll most likely be fine

I’m going to NYC this weekend and I’ll be 22 weeks! My mom and I plan on taking cabs everywhere.

I live by nyc and go often and I am 20 week pregnant. You would be fine and there is plenty of places along the walk to rest if need be.  NY is fun and there is a lot to do

I went to NYC when I was 20 weeks. it was fine. was nice took lots of photos for baby book. don't worry , just be advised of your surroundings and your should be fine! enjoy!
