is Zika Virus still a concern?

I have the opportunity to go to Nicaragua for work and I really wanna go but the CDC says central America is a big risk for Zika. I will be mostly in factories and not in a jungle, would you go??!! I'd be 16 weeks then.

Just did a quick search and the government is saying that no pregnant women should travel there because there is a high risk currently.

why would you go against what the CDC says? You're going to put yourself in your baby at risk which is silly.

I choose to cancel my vacation to Mexico after finding out I was four weeks pregnant because of the risk of Zika virus, first the cdc recommends no pregnant women go and it was advised against going by my doctor. The Zika virus can cause brain and head deformities. Only one in five people have symptoms of contracting the virus so you can get it and not know it and still be putting your baby at harm.
