Conceiving without OPKs, BBTs, etc?

Question

Hi ladies! My husband & I are TTC #1 & we aren't trying to obsess over it so we're not using OPKs or anything else like that. I'm pretty much just going to monitor my CM & BD when I have fertile mucus. My question is, how many of you conceived without using anything "extra"? It seems all I see on here is polls and pictures questioning whether an opk is positive, so I'm just curious!

get familiar with your cervix and cm and you should be fine.

We conceived our son on our 2nd cycle trying and this time around on our first month trying. We have never used anything other than just taking prenatal vitamins and just having lots of sex, whenever we fancied. No special pattern of when to have sex, no preseed, no ovulation tests etc.
I’m the kind of person who would get obsessed and stressy if we would have taken it too seriously. We said both times, we’d take a relaxed view on ttc and would have only have started using extra methods if we had not been successful within a year x

I think OPKs are good to use at least once or twice. This is our 4th month TTC; last cycle I used an OPK and discovered that I ovulated a few days earlier than Glow predicted. So they help you get a better idea of when :) baby dust!

I conceived both my kids without really tracking temp, cm, or opks. Sometimes we would check cm, but we didn't do it all the time with my second. I don't even think I had Glow installed for my first.

It's totally your decision! I find OPK helpful because sometimes my CM is off. It helps pinpoint ovulation better.

The only thing I’m using at the moment is the app... only 3 months TTC but we’ve said if it doesn’t happen this time then I’m going to use OPK.. AF due 7th.. each to there own though, whatever works for you! Good luck! 😊
