Is my boyfriend turned off by my upcoming surgery?

I'm having heart surgery in a week... and you'd think my boyfriend would be affectionate.
I'm healthy enough to have sex and really want to get as much as possible because I face weeks of recovery.
I don't know what to do... he says he isn't stressed... but he keeps turning down sex. It's making me feel really unattractive and disconnected from him. It's not just sex but total intimacy that feels off.

He’s probably just worried. My fiancé and I haven’t had sex since I got pregnant and I’m due in 6 weeks. We had a previous miscarriage so he’s scared. Your boyfriend probably is a bit scared too.

Have you asked him why he’s acting that way? He’s probably just worried about you. Maybe if you can give him some information from the doctor that says it’s OK to have sex, then he will feel better about it.
