I studied hypnobabies during my last pregnancy and will do so again this pregnancy

If you can’t take the class get the book from Amazon and watch lots of YouTube. I did hypnobirthing with my first in April 2016 and will again with my second this June. Just familiarizing with the ftp concept and practicing the relaxation and visualizations should help tremendously.

Yes to a point. I labored at home for a good portion of it and that was great. I won’t lie, surges are uncomfortable but I wouldn’t classify them as painful. Then when I got yo the hospital, the whole process kind of threw me off. I had a nurse who insisted on using a Doppler to check my daughters heart rate while I was in the tub in the middle of a surge. So that really interrupted my flow and made the finial few hours rough. I leaned after she was born that I labored at home long enough that I was already 7 cm when I came in and probably on the verge of delivering. But because the hospital messed with my head so much my labor stalled for a few hours. My doula helped me get it started again by flipping me to all fours which worked. Once I did that I dilated fully and delivered. But at the hospital I did let my relaxation slip and things did get painful. Hoping to manage that better this time around. Honestly I think of you are determined and believe in yourself and practice the relaxations you can do it! You are strong, you got this!

I’m already about halfway through the book! Do you feel that hypnobirthing really helped with managing pain and whatnot?

i hired a doula with last pregnacy and am hiring her again this time around lol shes experiebced in it. if you are a mental person i think its great. but ifs definitly not for eveyone

Highly recommended! I made it 12 hours...my grandmother called my hospital room and totally threw me off. i found everything off of Google and YouTube

You didn’t take the class?! I want to and my doctor like strongly almost requires it but near me it’s $400 and that just is not in our budget right now 😭
