Third failed IUI with clomid. Should I try Femara ? I’m nervous to start a med.

My routine has been clomid IUI and trigger shot. I normally ovulate on my own and with clomid I get two big follicles.  Doctor said I can try Femara.  Any thoughts ?

I got 3 follices my first round and 4 on my current round with femara. I used Clomid unmonitored and all 3 cycles were bfn.

Personally, I would ask to do something a little bigger. My RE said that clomid and femera do basically the same thing to the same degree. Some people react better to one or the other but it sounds like you’ve reacted to clomid just fine if you’ve gotten 2 big follicles each time. What ended up working for me was the injectibles (for me femera + gonal f + trigger + IUI). After several failed cycles including a failed IVF, we threw caution to the wind a bit and used this hoping to get 3-5 follicles. The first time I did this I got 3 follicles and bfn. The second time was 4 follicles and bfn and the third was 3 follicles and BFP with one healthy little baby! Good luck!
