Miscarriage, again.

Well. I am totally shattered and can not believe I have to do this, yet again. I am miscarrying for the second time in 3 months. I miscarried my first and only pregnancy in early Nov when i was 8 weeks, and now I am having a chemical pregnancy.

I just got my pregnancy confirmed yesterday by my obgyn. I requested to have my progesterone checked as I’ve researched and heard low progesterone can cause MC. I took a test this AM and the digital now read “not pregnant” and the lines on the FRER got much lighter than my BFPs on Sunday. My heart sank. Fast forward late morning, i am now bleeding.

My doctor sent me my test results and my progesterone was 1.3. Let that sink in. Normal range is 9-33 in the first trimester. I begged to be tested even though my doctor said there’s no evidence to support that it is a common cause of miscarriage. Well. It turns out it is probably why I lost this pregnancy and my last one. It is ABYSMALLY LOW. She said she sent in a script for suppositories, which I’ll take next time I guess for 12 weeks. The mess he sent in is not covered by my Insurance is over $1700 and that’s only for 2 months, not 3. Calling my insurance now to see if there’s a suitable alternative that’s covered..i need my ducks in a row for the next time.

I urge you ladies... if you suspect you have low progesterone, get it checked. My doctor said they don’t test that unless you’ve have recurrent MC- I begged for it, got my results and now it is too late.
