vaginal odor??...
Hi ladies. Im a ftm and was wondering if any of you experienced vaginal odor after giving birth? I had a c-section so I find it kind of odd that I’m experiencing some vaginally odor. While I was in the hospital the nurse did mention I had some swelling down there but before I left they checke me and said I was good and at my 6 week pp appointment my doctor once again told me everything was looking great she did a vaginal exam and everything. I am breastfeeding ( although I’m slowly stopping ) so I do have vaginal dryness and have no discharge at all, maybe a drop here and there but nothing compared to the amount of vaginal discharge I had during pregnancy or even before.i don’t have any pain other than occasional soreness here and there by my incision but it’s nothing crazy or super painful to where I need Tylenol or anything, feels more like cramps...(maybe my uterus is still shrinking???) I just notice that I have this vaginal odor that is a bit strong sometimes and other times not as much... ( I can smell it and it’s sometimes embarrassing cause I can’t tell if others can smell it as well ) I was washing down there with a soap similar to summers eve but I think the fragrances and stuff were irritating me because it would burn and feel uncomfortable (it also burned down there when I tried to use KY jelly as lube??? Not quite sure if that’s happened to others...) but anyways....so now I wash with mild soap and warm water and it’s helped a bit and I dont douche and I’m just kind of confused as what it could be? Should I make an appointment with my obgyn just to be safe or is it just something that women go through postpartum? Could it be that my ph balance is off or my hormones not being the way they used to be ??
