Do you still have ovulation pain while on birthcontrol

Apparently yes. I’m on birth control and I’m ovulating and I’ve had pain for the last three days that resembles period cramps but not as bad do I’m really confused because before I hit on the pill I found tell the difference but now I can’t really tell because it all feels the same but I’m also due to start my period in 15 days too and I’m also having other pms discomfort so Idk I think the pill don’t know what it needs my uterus to do lol

yes. only methods with estrogen stop ovulation. mini pills and iuds prevent pregnancy by thining the lining of the uterus so an egg can't attach and by thickening the cervical mucus so sperm can't get through. ovulation still occurs on these methods. even tho the shot and implant don't have estrogen they usually both stop ovulation.
