Should I be offended?

Question

Any time I mention to certain people I want to TTC they talk to me as if I’m unaware of the duties of parenthood and say that I should wait. I’m getting married in APRIL! 
People who have known me for a long time know being a mother was something I have always wanted for my future. I understand I cannot please everyone but these are people who I care about and I’m close to. What do I say without just walking away from this awkward conversation?

If they are people that care about you and know you maybe you should just hear them out or explain how much it means to you. I know it’s hard not to take it personally but having children is life changing and I do think it’s really great to spend the first few years of marriage without kids if you can just to really build a strong foundation and give your partner the attention and receive that attention just in the beginning. Having a baby is beautiful but it is damn hard and causes stress in a relationship. There is no way around that. They are probably just looking out for you.
