Kick counts ?

My doctor hasn’t told me anything about kick counts. Does everyone usually keep a kick count ?

My OB told me I didn’t need to worry about them unless I noticed her being unusually still for long enough for me to notice. She said if that happened to eat or drink something sugary and then do a count. I literally only had to do it once because she was such a kick-y little bean. 😂

I haven't & my OB never said anything. 38+5 & he has had a really predictable pattern, so keeping count hasn't been necessary. If he stopped or slowed movement, I would start counting & call my OB, but so far so good.

I’m almost 32 weeks and I’ve done them 3 times. I usually only do them if he’s been quiet for awhile. Most days he’s active all day.

Just asked my doctor about this Tuesday.  He said that it was originally recommended to prevent still births but studies showed it did not have the intended effects.  He told me just to watch for any changes in activity level.

I'm 30 weeks and I still haven't started a kick count I feel her all the time moving so I don't feel like it's necessary

depends on how far along you are. generally not til much later on in pregnancy
