Salicylic acid scare..

I'm 20 weeks and 3 days. I have this horrible callus/corn or maybe even a wart on the bottom on my toe. Being that I have to stand up all day I used a 40% salicylic acid corn remover on my toe to ease pain and hopefully get rid of It, and I left it on for over 48 hours..that is till I read that using any topical salicylic acid over 2% while pregnant is harmful to the baby and cause cause birth defects and development problems?! I'm freaking out now ladies. I have been doing everything in my power to keep this baby safe and it didn't even occur to me that a corn remover could be harmful to her...
