Should I be lactating now?

I was reading some post about leaky boobs 😂 but then started to worry that I may not be producing milk. Should I be concerned that I haven’t leaked yet? I’m 31 weeks.

Heck no some people do but your milk usually comes in when you give birth

I leaked at 28 weeks with my son and he was born premature. I haven’t leaked yet with this pregnancy but I’m still only 29 weeks.

No. Milk doesn't actually come in until baby is like 3 days old. Some women leak before hand but some don't. With my first I leaked at 17 weeks and it never stopped. With my second I didn't leak at all until after milk came in and with my third I still haven't leaked at 28+4. It's all in the hormones. Some women just have stronger prolactin levels and will leak. Does not mean you aren't producing or won't be able to nurse. Just means everyone is different.

With my first I never leaked but I was able to produce when she was born.
