Breastfeeds for 8 Minutes?

My son breastfeeds for minutes usually  and sometimes just 8 Minutes... I told this to his doctor who said most babies get what they need within 8-10 Minutes. He’s growing and has enough pee and poop diapers. Just curious if anyone else newborn does this? Especially coming off of a 3 hour and 30 minute nap.

Ive heard as they get older they get more efficient, but it’s still worrisome when you go from nursing for 30-40 mins to under 10.
My daughter is 2 months and just nursed for 4 mins after a 2 hour nap. She was actually so full that she spit up a little bit.

Yep my son was a very efficient eater, he would usually nurse for about 10mins

my son only feeds for around 8 minutes at a time and will also go for long sleeps after. as long as you are getting wet and poo nappies, babys gaining weight and happy then all must be good

Mine is almost 3 months and still nurses about 20 min in total.

My son got down to 3-4 min. It all depends on how effectively they nurse and how fatty your milk is.

Yep- 7 minutes per side and she's done. Like clockwork.
