I got my Paragard inserted at the end of September, 2017. My boyfriend and I had just become long distance so I wanted to get it and be adjusted to it for when we were back together after 4 months. I’ve been back with him for three weeks now and this whole time I’ve been completely turned off by physical intimacy, kissing, sex— basically everything beyond cuddling. This is a complete 180 from how it was before and I’m wondering if maybe the IUD has somehow affected my sex drive even though it doesn’t have hormones? My guess it’s either Paragard or maybe just seasonal depression which is something I’ve also been dealing with in this time. I just feel awful that I can’t enjoy sex anymore and I can tell it’s taking a toll on his self-confidence as well.

Has anybody had something similar to this happen?
