Huge blood clot after IUD removal???

So I got Mirena out on the 25th after having it for just over 2 years, my last period with it was january 2-6th, and theyre usually regular and I know Im supposed to spot after removal but I started this "period" 2 days early & heavier than normal. I put a regular size tampon in and after just 2 hrs it was bleeding through so I pulled it out but it felt different coming out so I look in the toilet and theres a huge clot about half the size of my palm sitting beside the tampon. So I googled it and they say clotting is normal after removal but then I got another clot about the size of a bottle cap and now about 8 hours after the second one, Im getting some sharp pains in my lower abdomen.. anyone else experience this? Should I get checked out?
