Made my day!

I'm studying to be a teacher, and I'm on my second semester of being an intern (I'm in a first grade classroom one day a week). It was my third day at a new school, and the quietest girl in class came up to me holding a paper.

"Look at this" she said.

She held out a coloring page. It hadn't been colored in yet; it was just the outline of a sugar skull.

"Very cool!" I said. "Are you going to color it?"

She shook her head, and said "it's for you. I wanted you to have it"

I legitimately cried guys. This is the first time a student has given me anything. When I'm up all night doing homework and studying, these kids are what gets me through it all. Knowing I have the pleasure of spending my days with these wonderfully sweet kids is what keeps me going 💜
