Start buying diapers and wipes different kinds and sizes. You'll need a lot of diapers!!!!!! And in those first few weeks you won't be wanting to get out to the grocery store with a new baby. So stocking up was such a blessing for me! It's really nice knowing that we have plenty of diapersAlso buy powders Baby soaps and lotion Medicine like diaper rash cream aquaphorA baby Thermometer that reads fast. Baby towels for bath time Baby detergent (dreft) Clothes you'll need a good but too, I would watch the sales at carters and oshkosh and buy a little each month. As for equipment... car seats stroller all that can wait for the baby shower assuming you are having one. Family and friends will want to buy you things. And if you can save 300 from someone buying the stroller for you that's more money you can put towards your medical bills! And you'll want to start doing the babies room if you have a lot to do. We put new floors and painted and it was a lot of work. So luckily we did all that by the time I was 14 weeks. I went neutral because we plan to have more children, so I wanted to be able to use everything again. And you'll want to invest in you! If you plan to breastfeed you'll need to get you a few nursing bras, storage containers, freezing pouches, a pump etc. nursing shirts, button down pajamas. Comfortable socks and slippers all that good stuff! Baby care is so important... but don't forget about you😉

I bought clothes at 14 weeks gender neutral (didn't know the gender yet) I got my stroller and car seat as a Christmas gift ( 24weeks) and I got my bassinet in November (19 weeks I think ) and a swing in December

We’re waiting until after our baby shower (definitely into the third trimester) unless someone has hand-me-downs/freebies.

I started buying diapers and wipes and things of that nature ASAP. I didn’t buy bigger furniture until I was around 28 to 30 weeks. And I didn’t start buying clothes really other than the odd super cute onesie until after we found out the gender at 20 weeks. I was setting the room up little by little throughout my pregnancy, but I really didn’t get into gear until week 30 to 31 because I wanted it ready by week 36. I literally was finishing setting up while I was in labor (that nesting instinct while in early labor is real!) Then my baby came at week 39 so it worked out pretty well

There’s really no need to buy or set up early. I waited until after 24 weeks... may seem long to some but now at 37 weeks I just finished my nursery (still have decor to put up)... those last few weeks go buy slow so having things to do like ordering last minute little items and stuff actually help A LOT. Plus I wanted to at least make sure that my son was at the viable stage before purchasing things. They always have deals on baby stuff so you aren’t missing out honestly.Like around 36 weeks Walmart started a big clearance sale.... clothes, baby swings, and pack n plays. (I just brought clothes) I just ordered his bassinet (halo)
