glucose so soon?

so I'll be about 12 weeks at my next appointment on Tuesday and they are already doing my glucose test. the Drs office said they started doing that last year . I've never had one done before 30 weeks and I have hyperemesis.  Has anyone else had to take the test so soon?

I did mine at 12w bcz I have high blood pressure and over weight and boarderline diabetic prepregnancy so they had to check that out for me...

I am 13 weeks today and did my 1 hour and 3 hour this week. I had GD in my last pregnancy. this time I have hypermesis, pregnancy induced hyperthyroidism and more than likely GD

I have high blood pressure since I've been pregnant and I'm overweight. I did a 1 hour glucose tolerance test at 11w6d.

If you are overweight or have any preexisting issues they may do it earlier.

I did mine at 8 weeks. She said because I'm overweight and advanced maternal age.

I had mine at my 6 weeks appointment because I have PCOS and will still have to do it at the normal time during pregnancy.

Are you high risk? I am due to my age so I have to have 2 tests. But my 1st one is at 16 weeks.

I have to take mine earlier, but because I'm overweight so I'm at a higher risk. But even then mine isn't until I'm 18 weeks. 12 weeks seems pretty early.
