3cm dilated, labor soon?

FTM and today at my appt doc told me I have progressed to 3cm, thinned some more, and she could feel my membranes. Just curious at 3cm, could labor be near?! 38+4

I have been 3cm since 36 weeks and 90% thinned and still havnt gone into labor at 38+2 I have now scheduled and induction it's miserable to walk around like that for 3 weeks

It’s different for everyone! I sat at 4cm for 3 weeks with my son

I was at 3cm for 2 weeks. I finally asked my dr to strip membranes at 38weeks and my daughter was born the next day!

I was 3 cm and the next day i had my baby.. i progressed to a 4 about 15 hrs later then from there it took 3 hrs to dilate to a 9 i had a fast early and active labor

My sister was in your same exact position a couple of days ago. 3cm dilated at her appointment, as far along as you aswell. The midwife did a stretch and sweep and she had some contractions on and off all afternoon that settled enough for her to get a good night’s sleep, then yesterday she woke up and was having irregular contractions again, but by 11am she was back at the hospital with contractions coming every 3 mins and lasting almost 2 mins. My baby nephew was born 6 hours later (:
