do I HAVE to take my placebo pills?

Question

I'm on the pill and I'm sick right now and took a nap and i didn't take my pill but I'm 3 days into my placebos and I'm wondering if it's even necessary to take them or if i even have anything to worry about. 
 I doubt I do but i just want to make sure 
I haven't started my period yet. My period always comes in the middle of my placebo week.

You don’t, they’re just sugar pills ( usually ). You can most likely search your brand of pills and if the placebo pills are actually placebo.

You don’t have to, but I know sometimes if people skip the placebos then they forget to start the new pack on time.

I never took mine when I was on birth control. I would just leave my alarm on and pop out the placebo and throw it away when the alarm went off so I was still doing the act of getting it out daily and wouldn't forget when it came time to take the active ones again.
