How do you feel?

I’m a first time mom to a handsome 7 month old baby boy. He’s been watching Peppa pig for a while now...I’ve bee reading that this show is not educational and bad for children. What do you moms think? Should I not let my baby watch it? He really likes the show

Eh. It’s fine. You’ll find PLENTY of Sanctimommies on here that are going to ride in on their high horses about what they consider educational or appropriate.
Not everything has to be educational at all times of the day. Besides, sometimes instead of letters and numbers, they sometimes teach about morals and what’s right and wrong.

Not everything has to be educational. Somtimes funny shows with pretty colors are just what you need. I've seen it a ton and I dont see anything wrong with it

My personal opinion is that tv is fine. My kids watch. But I make sure that the shows and movies that I let them see are 1. Age appropriate and good. 2. Something I myself can stand to watch on repeat for a long time. Lol. Think trolls - seen it probably 500 times 😆. But there are some I can’t stand ie frozen, that I won’t show to her.

Do what you find works for you & baby. Don't let doctors and other moms and opinions make you feel bad for what you choose to watch. I find that I have to put it on PBS for my LO just to gain sanity at some points in the morning.

Personally, I hate the show (the pictures and sounds, not actual content). So the later my daughter doesn’t know about it, the better. 
However, it is the actual screen time that’s hurtful. Not the show. And every single second of their day doesn’t have to be educational. Is yours? If it gives you 20 min to sit down or sort out some stuff and he likes it. Then keep doing it. I am sure he will still learn to read and write and function as a person when he grows up!
