How early did you tell your parents?

My husband and I are just over 4 weeks pregnant and we’re over the moon excited. I have a confirmation appointment February 12th so we were thinking of telling our parents the following weekend. I’d be about 6 weeks. How early did everyone tell their parents? I’m too excited to keep it a secret any longer than that!

We have frequent game nights with my parents.. last night we had a “game night” with them and were playing Pictionary. It was my husband’s turn to draw, and he was on a team with my dad. He drew a pregnant woman and then drew an arrow pointing at me. It took my dad seriously a good 45 seconds, and when he figured it out him and my mom LOST it. It’s their first grand baby so they are over the moon excited and were COMPLETELY taken off guard!! 💙👶🏻 so much fun!!

My mom knew when I first took a test but i waited to tell the rest of the family till I was 8 weeks now I’m currently 9 weeks. Most people like to wait till there second trimester Incase of miscarriage like I had with my first.

We found out at 4 weeks and told everyone by 8 weeks. I found out December 1st last year so it became a Christmas surprise

We found out two days before my birthday. Then the day after my birthday I had my immediate family all round after we did one of those escape room games and I was opening all gin-related presents. Once I’d opened them all I told them I had bad news, and that we couldn’t open the gin because I was pregnant. The all erupted in happiness and it was so funny! It was earlier than I meant to tell them but the timing was perfect.

My husband couldn’t wait to tell his family. So we told both sets of parents literally the day after I got a positive test. We just explained that we have an appointment and to keep the news to themselves until we were in the clear and ready to share the news to more people.

I’m going to tell my mom, dad, and brothers family pretty much immediately. My SO is free to do the same but idk his plan yet.
