Would you give your bff a valentine gift even if they don’t give you one?

I also gave my best friend a Christmas gift and didn’t receive one.  
Just want to see what most people would do

No I wouldn't get a friend a valentines gift... that seems strange to me.

No because to me valentines is for partners, lovers, telling people you crush on ect 
not a friendship bffs type thing. My bestie would be highly confused if i got them something for it. 
Also i give presents because i think that person would like it not to receive something back
