when does babies eyes open?

I had an ultrasound today and babies eyes were open? I heard that their eyes don't open until around week 27 or 28 and im only almost 21 weeks. Am I further along or is the whole 27-28 week thing not true?

It’s definitely positive!!!
This was at 20 weeks on 8/2 of my Daughter.
You can clearly see her eyes 😊

yes, she's the one who pointed it out that the babies eyes were open she said that I'm measuring to be 20 weeks and 5 days and I had both the 2d and 3d/4d hd exams. I'm just completely confused now

Did the tech say that the eyes were open or did it just look that way to you? Also, what type of ultrasound did you get?

My sister gave birth to my nephew at 23 weeks and his eyes were still shut. I believe that they begin to open closer to 30ish weeks.
