what age did you potty train your kids?

Comment on what you did that was successful for you. My oldest turns Two next month and we started potty training two weeks ago, she does good when she has no bottoms on but once we put panties on her she pees in them, recognizes that she did she tells me she peed takes them off and then goes to the potty.

my daughter will be two this mo rh but she has known how to use the oitry for a few months now. she doesn't go all the time but she uses here and there through the day. mainly because I'm 8months pregnant and don't like going uo and down the stairs all the time.

Waited for her to show signs she was ready. Made a huge deal about it. Set up a special toy/activity bin next to her potty in the bathroom, which she could only use while on the potty. It was a Mrs. Potato Head. Also made a chart together, where she could put a sticker on "Tried" "Peed" and/or "Poop". It went really well. Within a weeks she was trained.

I tried pushing my oldest two towards potty training when they started showing signs of being ready, and they fought back hard. Then they both magically made the transition on their own on their 3rd birthdays. Kids are weird.

I pushed my daughter when she was almost 2 and it wasn't easy, she finally just did it on her own when she was just about 3. My son started taking his diapers off around 19 months and potty trained himself. Officially with out diapers during the day at 26 months. I learned that when you let them do it when they are ready that they will just do it. I think it's much harder to "train" them and stress yourself out.

A month before my daughters 2nd birthday we got potty training down. 
It was honestly just 4-5 days of constant potty trips and laying towels down on the ground. We let her run around in her big kid undies and she learned pretty fast she didn’t like the feeling of being wet.
Then after that it was just learning to tell me she had to go, but I had a timer anyway just to make sure we were going. Been diaper free since she was 23 months.

You’ll know when they are ready. My daughter turns 2 in 2 weeks and she’s not ready. We tried but she just pees in her underwear and then says “uh oh” but never stops. So we are going to give it another 2-3 months and just put her on the potty once or twice a day and see if she will go. It’ll be easier when they can communicate more
