RSV Or Cold?

How do you know a cold from RSV? My little man is 4 months old and I've noticed today that he has a cough and I can hear the mucus and he weezes some, I dont wanna over react if it's nothing but I don't want him to get worse... anything I can do? This is my first baby and just seeking for someone that can help. Thanks

I would take him in just to be sure my sister in the hospital with my newborn nephew he has rsv she said he was caughing and didn't sound good she's been in the hospital for about a week and is still there right now with him.

If you're hearing any type of wheezing, take him in. My son had RSV and Flu A a few months ago and it was terrible. Both are viruses and there's not much you can do other than saline drops, humidifiers and Tylenol for aches and pain. It's best to be seen though, especially for a baby so young. 
My son had a cough, terrible runny/stuffy nose and was just overall miserable. The symptoms of the flu mirror that of a cold sometimes too.
