Thoughts on promise rings?

I voted yes but I think they need to be used for their actual intended purpose. 
I see so many people getting them for their SO’s but they don’t actually walk out with what the promise ring actually stands for. 
you’re promising to be a symbol of joint commitment (marriage even?) not promising to stay with them until things get too hard for your liking, or until you find someone better.

I love my promise ring. I am still too young to be engaged (in my opinion) and I love to wear a ring on my finger to show my faith and love for my man until we’re ready to get engaged!

I feel like promise rings are looked at negatively by a lot of people, but I’ve always loved them. I think they should definitely only be given in serious relationships (like if you’ve been dating for a few years and you’re too young to get engaged but you know they’re the person you want to marry)
