Can’t sleep in same room as baby
My son was born 7 weeks early and he does the preemie grunt when he sleeps, especially since he’s gassy and has reflux. I’m a very light sleeper, always have been. Plus, having the Mom radar where I’m alert to any sound my baby makes doesn’t help. Because of this, I find myself unable to sleep in the same room as my baby. He’s four weeks actual and I don’t feel comfortable moving him into his own room yet, so I’ve been sleeping on the couch in the living room with the monitor on while my fiancé sleeps in the bedroom with the baby because he’s a much heavier sleeper than I am. When DS starts to wake up for his feeding, or gets fussy in general, I’m still able to hear him on the monitor and wake up to get him. I am feeling some guilt about not being able to sleep in the same room as him, but I’m able to sleep better in the living room. Anyone else have this same problem and unable to sleep in the same room as their baby?
