Is this weird?

So I’m 17. I really feel like I could be a mom. It’s not just baby fever. I’ve been through hell with my family and pretty much everything else. My boyfriend and i have been together almost a year and we are sooo good for each other. We get each other and things are great. Sure we occasionally fight but what couple doesn’t. Anyways so I’ve really been thinking about it lately. I feel like I’m crazy or something in my head just isn’t right. But has anyone else ever felt like this?!

Don't have kids yet. Wait until you are both financially stable and preferable married. I had my first at 19, working part time at minimum wage ($6.25 an hour in California at the time). Dad and I are still together. My oldest is now 13 and we are just now getting financially stable. It takes a lot of money to raise a child.

I had baby fever as a teenager but I’m glad I didn’t have one. I’m 26 now, engaged, kid free and loving it. 
My best advice? Get an animal. It’s much less responsibility and helps fill that void of feeling like you need something that needs you. I got my dogs and I’m good.

I’ve had baby fever since I was almost 15, and I still have it at almost 21. I’ve been with the same guy since I was 14 going on 15. We want babies, but until you know what it’s like to live with someone, split bills, be in a loving and honest relationship, and be able to go through stressful things with....do NOT have babies. You don’t want to have an “okay” job, in an “okay” area, with no college degree, because you don’t want to have to rely on others for financial help. Enjoy being young, and learn more about your boyfriend. Build a better relationship with him, so that when the time comes, you’ll know it’s right!!
It’s not weird at all, though. Baby fever is SOOO high right now, and the process of growing a child is so beautiful. But they’re also 24/7 work, no sleep, no showers, stress, and it can cause people to end up in bad financial situations if they aren’t prepared. 
With my boyfriend, we’ve been together almost 6 years. We want babies more than anything in this world, but we want to make sure that we can afford ourselves before we have a baby. Make sure we can maintain a house on our own, pay our bills on our own, buy our own groceries, pay for gas, and have enough money to put in savings every month for emergencies & for a date night. We both only have one more year of college left (we’re 8 hours apart for college, so making babies is a little hard at the moment 😂), and were wanting to graduate and get a home together baby-free so we can enjoy going out without getting and paying for a sitter, sleep in on the weekends, and so that we can travel on our own and have adventures. 
Just be careful, because the baby fever is so so strong. But I hope you figure everything out and that it goes to plan 💖
