People comparing your baby to others?

Ever since the day our daughter was born my husband's family compares our girl to his bothers daughter. All his mother and the rest of his family favor his bothers daughter. All the gifts we've received from his mother and brothers were old hand me downs of her clothes Sometimes they were even dirty. Every time I post a picture on social media or a video his family brags about how she looks like his bothers kid or acts like her and they really look totally different. I really want my daughter to be treated like the individual she is and not second to best by his family. Maybe I'm just upset because we don't really care for his brother? Does this make anyone else mad when people compare children? I just want my daughter to be recognized as her own person and not for everyone to act as she needs to be a twin of her cousin.
