Pilondial Cyst

So I went to the doctors today for what I believed to be a boil at the top of my rear end that is extremely painful . When my doctor saw it she thinks that it may be a pilondial cyst due to the location and extreme pain I'm experiencing . She gave me a course of antibiotics and made a F/U for a week to see if a head has formed so she could possibly drain it . She said if a head hasn't formed by then I will have to have surgery . I wanted to know if any of you ladies have had this before and could give me some information ? I'm honestly scared I don't want to have surgery but I'm in so much pain .
