Should I get an IUD?

Question

So I'm 18, I've never been pregnant, but hormonal contraception really hasn't been working out for me so my only options are condoms or the copper IUD. The copper IUD just seems easier to manage long term since I know I don't want to have kids anytime soon. But I was wondering if people think it's a good idea I heard it can be painful, but is it unbearable did anyone have one before 20 and before first pregnancy? Thanks 😊

The paraguard has a high rejection rate and would be very hard for your uterus to take to because of the fact that you've never been pregnant so it's never stretched. That being said I had a Skyla placed at 16 and I loved it. Absolutely adored it, was a really great decision and had less hormones plus it is built for a uterus that has never been stretched, it's very small and flexible so it has the lowest chance of rejection. I never rejected mine and I LOVED it.
