Is it okay to wear a tampon overnight?

I am new to tampons but when I wake up after a first few cycle days I have blood everywhere and it's hard to clean and keep clean down there so I figured I'd try to switch to tampons for the first few days then switch back over to pads. I have really bad anxiety so I'm afraid of this TSS thing but if it's really not going to happen then I shouldn't be worrying about it.

never wear tampons for more than 6-8 hours. get some overnight pads!

I think you're fine as long as you don't wear one longer than 8 hours.

I would usually wear tampons during the day and pads at night. But if I did wear a tampon at night, it went in right before bed and came out first thing in the am, so it wasn’t more than 8 hours. Also make sure you are using the right absorbency, if its too high of an absorbency it will be dry and hurt/irritate you on the way out.

Also while everyone else is right about being diligent in making sure you’re changing them, it probably won’t hurt you if you wear it for like 10 hours. Tss is really really rare. Just pay attention to your body. If you start feeling weird take it out.

i wear tampons at night. i try to time it so that its 8 hours till i know ill be up (up at 7 for work so new tampon before bed at 11pm). but sometimes i sleep in and it ends up staying in for like 9-10 hours lol. it happens. havent had an issue yet. 🙈

I’ve slept in tampons for like 10 years. I always wake up after like 6-7 hours to pee so I just change it then. Then you can go back to sleep obviously if you want to lol.

I do but I also go to the bathroom I  the middle of the night so I replace mine. it never stays in for more than 3 or 4 hours. I cannot sleep with undies so pads are  no help and I think the cup is gross and won't try it. I have free bled in the last few days bc I tend to bleed less at night
