Low HCG? Empty ultrasound?

So  According to my LMP I am 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I went to the ER last night because of severe abdominal pain and vomiting (stomach flu), and while I was there they did a transvaginal ultrasound and checked my HCG levels. They said that they didn't see anything on the ultrasound at all, and that my HCG levels were low. It was only 50.  I am calling my OBGYN today to set up an appointment for Monday to get everything re checked. Has anyone else had a similar situation and still had a good outcome? Looking for hope.

But it’s nothing to see that early I don’t get it ! You could be less pregnant then you think 🤔 I mean still call your ob but I mean at this point its to early to see a fully developed baby

I was 6 weeks and nothing showed up on a transvag ultrasound it’s too soon to actually see anything and they told me my hcg was low and I was having a miscarriage because I was also bleeding now I’m 18 weeks with my little baby and everything so far has been fine, keep the faith these doctors are always wrong

You won’t see anything until at least 5/6 weeks so wait until then. It’s only if at 6 weeks you don’t see anything, but are still having positive pregnancy tests, that there’s a risk of it being an ectopic pregnancy. Right now it’s too early to know anything.
