What's the real difference between a lap dance and a private dance?

Who can tell me what a private dance is really like at a strip club.  I am having a really hard time understanding my husbands explanation that for $200 it's just a longer lap dance in a private room.  Especially when a regular lap dance is only 20.

I used to be a stripper so here goes.. 
Lap dance we charged $40 a dance, two songs, no touching allowed, bouncers watch over. 
VIP Dance.. private room, 2-4 songs, topless, allowed to touch per our discretion. $100+
Champagne Room.. $600+ for an hour or more.. whatever the hell you want and/or can get away with doing. 
Plus guys ALWAYS tip when they buy dances of any kind

He’s right, it’s a lap dance in a private room but there is more that goes on in the private room which is why it’s called a “private room”. Definitely more hands on versus lap dances the general rule is no touching and it’s in an open area.
