Would you date a guy who has kids from a previous relationship?

Would you date a guy who has kids from a previous relationship? I say hell no b/c 1. I don’t have time for baby mama drama 2. I’m too young to be a step mom to any kid and 3. I want my first kid to be his first kid.

Honestly, no. I was careful with my life choices so I wouldn’t end up as a single parent. No hate to anyone who chooses differently, but I want to be with someone who has the same priorities as me. All the kids in our house will have the same 2 parents.

I have no personal experience with this, however I’ve had friends who date guys with kids from previous relationships and all ended the same - either the guy went back to the childs mother, or the child’s mother caused so much drama that they broke up, or the guy was just not wanting to be in a relationship and broke it off. Obviously I know this isn’t the case for everyone, just things that have happened to people I know personally.

Hell yeah, kids are great. However, I’d make sure he moved on from his ex first.

im with my SO who has a kid.  got with him at 19 when his child was 6 months old and have been with him going on 8 years now.  being a step parent is hard but i wouldnt change it because i have the most amazing step daughter that i love and spend most of my time with. we are inseparable when she is with us.

my SO has a little girl and she just started living with us in December. (her bio-mom isn’t really in the picture much). It’s one of the greatest things. She calls me Mom and I love her just like she’s one of my own, and I can’t wait until we have more kids together.

I did. We have one together and he has two already. We are splitting though.
And now I’d say no I wouldn’t... even though I have one. I mean, maybe if I didn’t have to get involved in the child’s life but I don’t want to be a stepmom again. It’s too much
