Do you think this dress is cute to wear to a BBQ

My boyfriend is having a casual birthday BBQ and I'll be meeting all his friends some I've met before but most for the first time. I want to look cute for him to show me off but also chilled and cool for a BBQ. I bought this dress today. Not sure if I should go with this or something else. Ignore the weird bra straps. It's a strapless dress and I'll we wearing it with strapless bra.

UPDATE: I asked my boyfriends opinion with this and more casual outfits and he said he thought I looked amazing in that dress and it was so cute he wanted me to wear it so I did :)
