Does giving birth hurt as bad as everyone says?

I'm nervous about it, I just think about how I can't tolerate pain how am I gonna give birth 😭 like tell me, HOW BAD IS IT

Not to be cliche here but honestly,  everyone's experience is different. I didn't have much pain,  like no pain meds used for 1st, and 3rd deliveries. I wouldn't have needed it for my 2nd and 4th had they not force an induction and let me go on my own and with my 5th, I had horrible back labor and begged for meds lol...it varies.  Maybe I didn't have crazy pains because my labors are quick,  all 5 under 5hrs... who knows

Yea it hurts but remember this, we are badasses and our bodies are meant for this. :) don't over think it. Everyone's pain during labor is different too. I'm 40w3d and I'm already 3cm without feeling anything.

Every person is different my friend said contractions are really bad but pushing baby out was easy. But think of it like this with c section women hurt bad for a week and still have pain for months. normal birth you have pain for that moment the next day you 100%. Good luck everything will be fine

That being said... IM ADDICTED TI LABOR! I literally LOVE being in labor even though I scream 😂 oh my god is it addictive. With my first I sadly had a failed labor and then a csection. Now I just had a VBAC and that after birth high is incredible! Pushing hurt so bad but literally IMMEDIATELY after pushing I felt none of it anymore. My body was so overwhelmed with oxytocin and love and I was on cloud 9. It literally makes me want to have 5 more kids JUST to experience labor 😂😅 I also went into labor spontaneously with my second baby (was induced with first) and that experience was so fun! I was cracking jokes with my husband in the car between contractions, when they first started we tracked them together. It was just amazing. Seriously I’d do it again right now and I’m only 3 weeks pp 😅😅😅
Please know that it hurts. At first it’s not too bad, I swear! I didn’t hurt to the point of screaming until 8cm. This was transition. I got a low dose epidural that just took the edge off, I still felt the pain just not so strong. I went back to breathing and groaning through them. I could still move my legs and move around by myself. This helped a lot. I felt all of the pushing. Felt the ring of fire 😭😭 but seriously. I’d do it again. If I could press rewind and live it, I would! I say this as I sit on my stitched vagina! 
So, it hurts, but obviously not THAT bad. Learn coping techniques. Look up hypnobabies. Look up counter pressure and how to have someone do it, use a heat pad on your back in labor. Move around, don’t lay down. Use the birthing ball. Groan. Relax your jaw, your shoulders. Listen to birth affirmations and a calming playlist. Dance your baby out. Use the birthing pool or shower. It’s doable. Otherwise the world would be much more empty 😉

Both yes and no, what I remember as the worst part now is the IV needles in my hands, the automatic blood pressure thing that went of every third minute. And not being able to lay how I wanted ( Baby’s heart rate dropped drastically)

My best friend had a natural birth and she explained it to me in detail. It hurt her so bad that after every contraction she projectile vomited.
