Evening Primrose Oil- How and Why?!

Okay ladies- my husband heard from a girl he works with that I need to be using these, even though he has no idea why...and neither do I 😂 These are the ones he ordered so like, what do I do with these?! Take them orally, do I insert them? And what exactly are they supposed to do? I'll be 37 weeks on Monday, if that helps anything? Help a clueless mama out 😂

With my first I would have sex and afterwards poke a hole in a pill and insert as far up in my vagina as possible. I went into labor less than 10 days after starting this routine.

My midwife told me that starting at 37 weeks to use these so you’re right about that lol she said to poke a pin hole in one and insert it up against your cervix and you can do that every night and take one orally every morning. It has prostaglandins in to help soften your cervix to prepare for labor.

I just started inserting one in the evening at my midwives advice since I had issue with my cervix softening with my first. I’m 36 weeks. I don’t poke a hole just put it in at bedtime and it dissolves. I do need to wear a little panty liner because it leaks out a little by the am.

I did this with my last an I wanna say it helped my body thru labor I barely felt any pain its suppose to get ur body ready im definitely doing it again
