Can you use menstrual cups before you have had sex(sorry I don’t really know how they work)?

I looked into menstrual cups. I saw on the box that they’re not recommended for anyone who hasn’t yet experienced childbirth... I’m not saying don’t try them, but definitely be aware of the possible difficulty of inserting them, and plan so that you don’t suffer if it doesn’t work out. I’ve read quite a bit of reviews on them too, and many say that when they aren’t inserted properly, they can leak... Idk, though.
